The Penn Gold Label Series Torque Lever Drag Reel delivers exceptional free spool and casting ability while retaining all of the benefits of lever drag. Like no other lever drag reel on the market, the Torque Lever Drag reel boasts five active drag surfaces to suit any situation. Equipped with Versa-Drag, a large-diameter stacked drag cartridge, the angler is able to customize the drag washer arrangement to achieve a specific drag curve. This stacked drag system eliminates the "binding" felt in normal lever drag reels when they are set up to achieve higher drag settings by multiplying the number of drag surfaces and decreasing the amount of force exerted across the reel by the lever. With this unique drag cartridge design, complete disengagement of the drag can occur in free spool for an incredible casting performance. In addition, the Torque Lever Drag Reel is equipped with a ratcheted lever drag system that eliminates "drag creep" caused by hours of trolling and diesel engine vibration.
